Quality Control Department
Gold Medal bakery operates a quality control department whose members are charged with the ultimate responsibility to coordinate company standards to that of the manufactured products. From the time the raw ingredients are received until the finished product is in the customers home, the quality control department insures that the product is consistent, unadulterated and of the highest quality. There are quality control stations placed at various locations throughout the plant to monitor weights and measures, texture and color, taste and many more standards. Gold Medal Bakery has staff who are HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) certified. We are a Kosher Parve bakery regularly inspected by the Rabbinical Council of New England. Strict allergen programs are in place. We are annuallly audited by the independent auditing firms of: AIB International (American Institute of Baking), Silliker, NSF Cook and Thurber, and The W.E. Long Co; as well as periodic quality control inspections by our customers. In addition to independent auditors; local, state and federal agencies verify our compliance with government regulations.

At Gold Medal Bakery the sanitation department is fully staffed seven days a week to ensure that the buildings, equipment and grounds are maintained to high AIB standards. Along with the support from all departments, the sanitation department strives to maintain a high degree of cleanliness throughout all aspects of the food manufacturing process. Good Manufacturing Practices are essential and utilized through the entire organization. All equipment and surrounding areas are cleaned at the end of each production cycle. Internal audits are conducted weekly. The services of AIB Food Safety Department and W.E. Long are used to conduct regular audits. Our high standards ensure that Gold Medal Bakery produces a pure, unadulterated product. On-going training and state-of-the-art equipment is used to accomplish this goal.
